Every Mitchel's Auto Glass repair and replacement is covered by our limited warranty for as long as you own or lease your vehicle. If you are not completely satisfied with the windshield repair, or have any problems with your auto glass replacement, contact us at 516-537-6156. Remember in order to exercise your rights under this warranty you MUST PROVIDE A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL MITCHEL'S AUTO GLASS RECEIPT/INVOICE.

Auto glass is warranted against defects in material or workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle in which the glass was installed. You will be covered as long as the defects are brought to the attention of Mitchel's Auto Glass within 15 days of the discovery following the installation date as shown on the invoice. Warranty does not cover vandalism, accidents, theft, acts of god, or self inflicted damage.

The warranty of auto body shops is limited. We will warranty air noises, water leaks, and defected materials. If the glass shatters or cracks due to removing the glass when performing R&R (Remove and Reinstall) Mitchel's Auto Glass is not liable for the glass being damaged. This is because pressure is put on the glass when removing it from a vehicle. Therefore, there is a high risk of the glass being damaged. We are not responsible for scratches on the car that surrounds the glass because most of the time there is not much space in order to remove the glass that is on the vehicle.

The adhesive we use to install your windshield, back glass, quarter and vent glass was designed to meet federal safety standards for retention in the event of a collision or roll-over after cure period of six(6) hours or (24) twenty four hours if your vehicle has an airbag. Until the adhesive has been cured thoroughly, the windshield, back glass, quarter glass, or vent glass may not remain in position during a collision or roll-over, putting passengers in the vehicle in greater dangers of severe or fatal injury.

This warranty does not cover noise, leaks, stress cracks, or similar damage in connection with installations to vehicles having damage or rust on the pinch weld. Mitchel's Auto Glass will use reasonable effort to advise you of the existence of such damage prior to removal of the existing glass; however, it is often not possible to do this. In such cases, Mitchel's Auto Glass is not responsible for any associated or premature degradation of such damage. In addition, damage not involving defective workmanship or materials is expressly excluded from coverage under this warranty. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE MANUFACTURER OR VENDOR BE HELD LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage, and the above limitation or exclusion may not apply in such cases. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

If you have a problem that is covered by this warranty, you may contact us at 516-537-6156 and we will replace or repair the warranted product or correct the defective workmanship without charge at a mutually agreed upon scheduled time. If we are unable to do so, we will refund the original purchase price of your warranted product. In order to exercise your rights under this warranty, we will require evidence of installation by Mitchel's Auto Glass, such as a copy of the invoice.

The repair process involves the injection of special adhesive (Resin) into the damaged part of the glass,?which could be a bullseye, crack, star, or combo. The success of each repair is not exact or successful 100% of the time due to multiple factors. The best results are obtained when the damage is recent, the point of impact is small, the cracks around the damaged area are small, and there is no moisture or other foreign matter or material in the damaged area and temperature of the glass at the time of repair. Have damaged glass repaired as quickly as possible, park the vehicle in a shaded area one hour prior to repair work, and keep dirt and water away from affected area at least 6 hours prior to the repair.

In some cases the attempt to repair a windshield can result in the chip or crack becoming larger, and we are not responsible for such damage. Please remember the windshield is broken and this is an attempt to extend the life of an already damaged part.

If you are dissatisfied with the repair, we will credit the cost of repair toward a replacement. If your insurance company paid for the repair, the insurance company will receive the credit.

We guarantee that the repaired portion of the windshield will not crack any further, and that the repair will pass any state vehicle inspection, or we will credit the cost of repair toward the replacement.

This warranty applies as long as you own or lease the vehicle on which the repair was made and is not transferable.
